Education Foundation tournament scores a win for schools.
SUTTON - Spring golf was in full flower on May 22 at the 17th Annual Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation Golf Tournament, held at Blackstone National Golf Club in Sutton. The annual tournament raised over $22,000 for curriculum grants to schools and other educational programs in the Valley. One hundred and twelve golfers enjoyed the clear day, the challenging course, and the sumptuous dinner following the festivities.
First place winners were Dirk Koopman, Don Koopman, Rick Post, and Kevin Lobisser (see photo). Coming in second were Russ Vander Baan, Lou DeFrancisco, Mark Donahue and Rob Anderson. Third place went to Dr. Joseph Connors, Dr. Michael Fitzpatrick, Kevin LaDuke and David Glispin. Mike Kongione won the closest-to-the-hole prize, Debra Larsen scored the women’s longest drive and Dr. Joseph Connors won the men’s longest drive.

Rick Post, Kevin Lobiser, Don Koopman, and Dirk Koopman enjoyed a successful day at the BVCC Education Foundation Golf Tournament May 22 at Blackstone National Golf Club.
