About the Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation, Inc...

Fostering connections between students and the broader community is what the Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation (BVCCEF) is all about. The BVCCEF strengthens partnerships between the business community, local government and organizations, and students of all ages to help students develop their knowledge, their career preparation, their leadership skills, and their potential.

The BVCCEF's mission is to lead and support education that promotes workforce development and enhances the quality of life in the Blackstone Valley. It accomplishes this through four major program areas:

• School-to-career programs help students explore career opportunities and tie workplace experiences to their academic learning through internships, job shadowing, and other activities.
• BVCCEF grants to schools support innovative programs that connect students with their community and help prepare them for the 21st century workforce.
• Leadership Blackstone Valley cultivates emerging community leaders to serve as stewards of the Blackstone River Valley.
• Blackstone Valley Youth Leadership Academy, promotes leadership skills and regional connections among high school students through community service.
