WHITINSVILLE, MA — The Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commercehas been awarded a $30,000.00 Small Business Technical Assistance Grant from Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation.
“We are thrilled to receive this funding,” stated Jeannie Hebert, President and CEO of the Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce. “We gratefully accept this award that makes possible the continued good work by our Chamber to provide assistance and training to small business and entrepreneurs in the Blackstone Valley region.”
The purpose of the Small Business Technical Assistance Grant Program is to expand economic and entrepreneurial opportunity throughout the Commonwealth. The program is designed to complement and enhance the traditional public and private small business assistance network by providing technical assistance or training programs for underserved and disadvantaged businesses with 20 employees or fewer. The program seeks to facilitate small business economic viability and to improve their ability to secure private and public financing needed.
“The BVCC Enterprise Academy”, made possible by this grant, will kick off its’ first training program on October 5th. “QuickBooks with Confidence” is a three session program (Oct. 5-11-18) designed to explore all that QuickBooks has to offer businesses through interactive instruction. Individuals can ask questions, give examples, and maximize their time to get the knowledge they need to help themselves in their own business situation.
