The Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce, a special ribbon cutting ceremony for An Officer and Two Gentlemen, Inc. (AOATG) on Veteran’s Day, Wednesday, November 11, 2026, at 11:00am. This ribbon cutting ceremony will celebrate the organization’s fifth anniversary and the official opening of its new home, Bridge Point – Veterans & First Responders Center, located at 875 Hill Street in Whitinsville.
When Founder and Executive Director Mike DeFazio established An Officer and Two Gentlemen five years ago, he intentionally chose Veterans Day as the organization’s founding date. Exactly five years later, the organization will celebrate that milestone by opening the doors to Bridge Point, bringing together a meaningful reflection on the past and an exciting vision for the future.
“Veterans Day has always held a very special meaning for An Officer and Two Gentlemen,” said Mike DeFazio, Founder and Executive Director of An Officer and Two Gentlemen, Inc. “When we founded this organization in 2021, we intentionally chose November 11 because of what it represents. To now celebrate our fifth anniversary on that exact same day, while officially opening Bridge Point, is incredibly meaningful. It is a reflection of how far we have come and a reminder of why we started, heroes helping heroes.”
The ceremony will include the National Anthem, a meaningful Veterans Day observance, recognition of local veterans and first responders, remarks from elected officials and community leaders, and an introduction to the mission and vision behind Bridge Point. Created to provide a dedicated space for veterans, first responders, their families, and the broader community, Bridge Point will serve as a place for connection, fellowship, support, and continued service.
After five years of growth, the new center provides AOATG with a home from which to expand its mission of Heroes Helping Heroes and continue building meaningful connections among those who have dedicated their lives to serving others.
Following the formal ceremony and ribbon cutting, the community is invited to stay and experience Bridge Point during an open house throughout the day. Guests will have the opportunity to tour the new center, enjoy refreshments, meet members of the AOATG community, and learn more about the organization and the work taking place at Bridge Point. This event is FREE and open to the public.
