Valley Tech students, together with individuals from Seven Hills Foundation, will be hosting a performance arts show at Valley Tech on Friday, April 13 at 10:30 a.m. The show features various forms of performance art, including a drum performance, sign language, and more.
The partnership between Health Service students of Valley Tech and Seven Hills Foundation began as part of the Health Service integration curriculum teaching respect for all individuals. It sparked a dynamic relationship between Valley Tech students and the individuals from Seven Hills Foundation. Students from Valley Tech’s Health Service, Graphic Communications, Carpentry, and Painting & Design Technology programs have all taken part in preparation for the show.
Carpentry students, in collaboration with Amy Bedard, a Health Service instructor at Valley Tech, have made the drums for Seven Hills Foundation. Painting & Design Technologies have decorated the drums, Graphic Communications students designed and printed event invitations, and Health Service students have been working with the individuals through the entire process. The Performance Arts Show will cast a spotlight on the talents of everyone involved as well as the success of the relationship that has formed between Valley Tech students and the individuals served by Seven Hills Foundation.
